Bob joined the D3 Board of Directors in August 2018. He holds a B.S in Industrial Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University, and a M.S. in Logistics and Operations from the U.S. Airforce Institute of Technology. He has also completed “executive management” training courses at UCLA, an Aircraft Accident Investigation program at USC, Navy Explosive Ordnance Program Management training, and a Raytheon Corporation 6-Sigma program.
Bob brings more than 45 years of naval aviation maintenance & aerospace engineering management experience. He retired from the Navy attaining the rank of Captain serving in the fields of naval aviation maintenance and aerospace engineering. His naval career included not only air squadron and ship assignments, but also assignment to the Naval Air Systems Command serving as logistic program manager for automatic test systems, an intern assignment on the Department of Defense Staff assessing maintenance and repair planning for developing weapons systems, assignment to the Pacific Fleet Air Staff as Head for Naval Air Intermediate Maintenance plans and policy, and assignment as Naval Plant Representative for Tomahawk Cruise Missile at General Dynamics Corp.. Following the Navy he provided contract program management and technical support as; program manager of in-service engineering support contracts at the (then) Naval Air Rework Facility North Island, San Diego CA, and for Naval Space and Missile Warfare Center, San Diego working programs including GPS receivers, logistics support for a ground-based satellite radar system, for Naval Meteorological Program satellite sensor systems, and providing budgetary planning support for GPS programs developed by the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington D.C.
